Please update your housing application if you have a Community Council Rural connection

You may have noticed a new ‘update your rural connections’ feature when logging in to your Homesearch account

If you have not done so already, please can you complete the form which asks you whether you have a rural connection to any of the Community Councils in Monmouthshire. This is because in 2022, some of the Community Councils changed, therefore you now need to update your application.

Information on the Community Council areas is available here.

Once you complete the form, the button will remain yellow and you only need to complete this once, unless you need to update Homesearch of a change of rural connection at a later date

Background:
Following a service review, Homesearch launched their new website and allocations policy to help meet the needs and demands of those on the housing register. It is now over 12 months on, and we want your feedback!
 
Why should I complete this survey? 
Demand for Social Housing has never been greater, resulting in longer waiting times due to fewer properties becoming available.  While we have no influence over the number and type of properties advertised by the local housing associations, this survey seeks your feedback on the service provided by Homesearch to administer the housing register on behalf of Monmouthshire County Council. 
 
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and you can enter a £100 voucher prize draw!
