Homesearch Service Update: Coronavirus – 27th March 2020

Dear Homeseekers, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the Homesearch team are working from home but endeavouring to keep the service open and accessible to you. As we are receiving a high volume of calls and emails, we ask you to bear with us while try and get back to you. You can help by emailing your query to us rather than phoning us and we will respond to you as soon as we can. Please do not send any correspondence to us by post as our offices are closed and we are unable to access post frequently. If you have something you would like to send to us and are unable to use email, please contact us to discuss other options

At present, the Homesearch Partnership – MHA, Melin, Pobl, United Welsh and Derwen, are continuing to advertise and shortlist properties through the scheme, however, due to the current restrictions in the UK regarding non-essential movement and social distancing, we are currently only letting properties to those who are considered to be in urgent housing need in partnership with the Local Authority.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families well during this worrying and difficult time for all.

 


Community Hubs and Library services in Monmouthshire

Monmouthshire County Council have reduced the opening hours of the community hubs/libraries across Monmouthshire. Please find the new opening hours below:

The new opening hours for your local Community Hub or library until further notice is:

Chepstow Hub and Library: Wednesday 9 -12; Saturday 9-12:00

Usk Hub and Library(including The Post Office): Monday 9:00 – 13:00; Saturday 9:00 – 13:00

Monmouth Hub and Library: Tuesday 13:00 – 15:00; Friday 9:00 – 13:00

Caldicot Hub and Library – Closed, please visit Chepstow Hub; Please use the My Council Services app or call the contact centre on 01633 644644.

Gilwern Library – Closed

Abergavenny Library – Tue 10-16:00; Friday 10:00 – 16:00

Abergavenny One-stop-Shop (Town Hall) – Closed until further notice. Please use the My Council Services app or call the contact centre on 01633 644644
